CAD Training Programs

Computer aided design, or CAD, is a specialized field in which designers draft plans for architecture, civil engineering, structural design, machines and technology. More commonly known as CADD in educational settings--Computer Aided Design and Drafting--training programs are available in schools throughout the country; some offer certificate programs while others offer associate or bachelor's degree programs.
  1. Sullivan College of Technology & Design

    • Sullivan College of Technology and Design is located in Louisville, Kentucky. It offers a mechanical CADD certificate program as well as an associate of applied science degree program.

According to the school's website, program goals are to instruct students in the design of machine tools and mechanical systems, help them create drawings of mechanical devices and machines, and draw mechanical blueprints. Program courses include basic mathematics, introduction to drafting, geometric construction, computer fundamentals, algebra, physics, geometry and more.
