Virginia College offers an Associate of Applied Science in computer aided design drafting that can be completed at three campuses across Alabama. The curriculum includes instruction on architectural design as well as mechanical design. Students are afforded access to the most recent software and technology used in the field and create a professional portfolio throughout the program that features their best work. In addition to design coursework, students also complete general education classes.

Students can achieve an associate degree in computer aided design and architectural drafting at more than 10 Westwood College campuses across the country. The program teaches students about the necessary skills for both residential and commercial design and drafting. Courses in the program offer instruction on topics that include basic drafting, residential CAD design and 3D AutoCAD. Westwood College prepares students to take a variety of computer program certification exams upon degree completion, including AutoDesk, AutoCad Architecture and Revit Architecture.

Spencerian College awards an Associate of Applied Science degree in architectural computer aided design drafting. The curriculum emphasizes the creation of engineering drawings, utilization of space planning and understanding of basic design principles through the use of physics and math. Students gain hands-on experience with computer aided design drafting equipment and software during their time in the program.
