In 1998, three Baltimore area community colleges combined to form the Community College of Baltimore. Today the two-year college features an extensive catalog of associated degree and certificate granting academic programs, ranging from accounting and air traffic control to veterinary technology and women’s studies. CCBC also features several apprenticeship programs, including an electrician and installer technician apprenticeship. The four-year program allows students to simultaneously work as apprentices in the field at metropolitan Baltimore training centers, while completing evening classes at the college. Students matriculated into this program can also earn credits towards an Associate in Applied Science degree from the college.
