Solar electrician jobs are in huge demand. To excel as a solar electric system designer or installer, it is essential to attain a degree in electrician training program. These programs prepare the students for the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners and to be comfortable with all phases of solar technologies.

    • Florida Solar Energy Center (fsec.ucf.edu/), run by the University of Central Florida, provides a wide variety of certification programs which are accredited by PowerMark Corporation. Some of the certification programs are: Operation of the Solar Thermal Collector Certification Program, Operation of the Solar Thermal Systems Certification Programs and Operation of Photovoltaic Module Performance Certification Program.

    University of Massachusetts

    • University of Massachusetts Lowell (uml.edu) offers a Master of Science in Energy Engineering. This is a full-time engineering program.

    Infinite Solar

    • Infinite Solar (solarschoolpa.com) is a private school located in Philadelphia. It provides Interstate Renewable Energy Council-accredited programs and NABCEP exams. It provides practical solar installation training and classes. Through its solar energy training programs, it prepares students for the green revolution through both short-term and long-term training courses.
