Jackson Community Colleges

For outsiders, any mention of Mississippi sparks a mental image of a great river, with cities lining its banks and ships trading up and down its muddy length. Jackson flies in the face of this stereotype, being a railway hub rather than a river town. The city was one of the Confederacy's important manufacturing centers, and that legacy may be seen in the city's vocational and technical schools.
