Located in the southern Georgia city of Tifton, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College was established in 1906. Although a majority of the academic programs at ABAC are two-year programs typical to most community colleges, the college recently added bachelor's degree programs. The college's associate degree program in engineering serves as a foundation for students intending to pursue baccalaureate studies in the field at a four-year college or university. Courses like Principles of Physics I and II, Calculus III, and Introduction to Linear Algebra are a part of the program's curriculum and satisfy biomedical, chemical, civil, aeronautical, and other bachelor's degree requirements for engineering majors. Students are additionally required to take general education classes from the college's core curriculum.
