Mechanical Engineering Technology Colleges

Mechanical Engineering Technology involves how mechanical systems function and their development. While associate and certificate degree programs do exist from community colleges, advanced degrees at the graduate level are generally required for more competitive wages as well as research positions in the field. Mechanical Engineering Technology programs feature a comprehensive foundation in sciences, such as chemistry and physics.
  1. Arizona State University

    • Arizona State University's undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Technology programs are part of the College of Technology and Innovation on the university's Polytechnic campus located in Mesa. In addition to general Mechanical Engineering Technology bachelor's degrees, students can also choose among concentrations in automotive, aeronautical or automation technology. ASU's Mechanical Engineering Technology program emphasizes practical learning experiences. Laboratories and industry projects help prepare program graduates for careers in design, development and manufacturing as well as other types of mechanical engineering. In addition to the program's required coursework, Mechanical Engineering students are required to take core general education courses, including Calculus for Engineers I.
