Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University

• The Institute of Technology was established at Banaras Hindu University in the early 1970s to serve as an alternative premier engineering program to that offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology. Originally three distinct institutions within the overall Banaras Hindu University campus, the institutions were organized into a cohesive academic program that focuses on real-world applications of engineering and science.
