The College of DuPage CNA program, which is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health, is an 11-week course that includes classroom instruction and clinical education. Applicants must apply for admission to the college and meet the college’s reading and writing requirements for admission. CNA applicants must attend an advising session and complete and confirm all health requirements, after which they may submit an application for admission to the CNA program.

Joliet’s CNA program requires completion of 12.5 semester hours. Applicants must be at least 16 years old, English speakers, and have at least an 8th-grade education. Applicants must apply for admission to the college and complete a physical exam form for the CNA program. Juliet Junior College requires students to take the state certification exam after completion of the course NA101. The college also offers an advanced CNA program which requires completion of 32.5 semester hours. Joliet’s CNA programs are approved by the Illinois State Department of Public Health.

Applicants to the college’s CNA program must be at least 16 years old and pass reading and writing requirements. Applicants must present a social security card, provide immunization documentation, and pass a background check. Pregnant applicants must see their physician before registering for the program. The CNA program last 10 to 14 weeks and includes classes during the day, evenings and weekends. The CNA course is offered three times a year. In addition to tuition, students must pay the expenses for immunization, background checks and the certification exam. Wright College’s CNA program is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
