Paramedic to RN Programs in Phoenix, Arizona

Paramedic-to-RN bridge programs are available for licensed paramedics who want to become registered nurses (RNs). This specific bridge program allows licensed paramedics to graduate with an associate's degree in nursing and prepares them for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) upon completion of program. Requirements to enter the program include being a certified or licensed paramedic and having a high school diploma.

      Upon completion of the program, graduates will have the training to perform physical examinations, recognize symptoms and diagnose illnesses and injuries. Practical techniques learned include electrocardiograph rhythm identification, defibrillation, and advanced airway techniques.

    • Paradise Valley Community College is part of the Maricopa Community College system in Arizona and offers an Advanced Emergency Medical Technology (Paramedic) program. This 60.5 hour program prepares students for trauma management, peripheral and central intravenous techniques and advanced pediatric and cardiac life support.

    • Get an Associate of Arts with a concentration in Health Care Administration at the University of Phoenix in as little as nine weeks. Students will learn all about health-care organizations, public policy, and regulatory and ethical issues of health care. Students interested in staying in the school for their bachelor's degree in nursing can continue to do so as the University of Phoenix offers many different areas of nursing emphasis, and another bridge program for registered nurses to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing.
