University of Arizona, located in Tucson, offers two BSN programs. The first program, termed the traditional pathway by the university, is intended for students without a bachelor's degree in another field. It is a four-semester upper-division entry program that requires that two semesters of previous course work to be completed prior to entry into the program.
The other program, termed the accelerated pathway, is a 14-month program intended for students with a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field.

Arizona State University offers two types of nursing programs. The first nursing program, termed the traditional program by the university, is a 24-month program. The other nursing program, termed the year round program, is a 16-month program.
Both programs lead to a BSN and require that students have completed four semesters' worth of prerequisites to qualify for entry. Courses are offered at the university's campuses in downtown Tempe and at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale.

Northern Arizona University offers students a variety of pathways to earning a BSN. The traditional program is a four-year program with classes offered in Flagstaff, Yuma, Tucson and several of the American Indian reservations in Arizona. This program is intended for students without a bachelor's degree in another field.
The accelerated program, which is offered at the university's main campus in Flagstaff, is approximately 18 months in length and is intended for students that currently have a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field.
Registered nurses (RNs) that do not have a BSN can take advantage of the university's RN to BSN program, which is typically a three-semester program.
