Programs to Become a Labor & Delivery Nurse

While most undergraduate programs provide general training in family and maternal/child nursing, it is at the graduate level that specified, in-depth training for labor and delivery nursing is offered. These programs are typically in midwifery nursing or nurse/midwife training. A nurse/midwife works in conjunction with physicians to provide safe and healthy childbirthing in hospitals, private clinics, birthing settings and public-health centers.
