The Central Florida School of Massage Therapy, located in historic Winter Lake, offers hands-on teaching to perform entry-level massages using Swedish massage technique, in addition to other modalities. The school also teaches classes such as business in a classroom setting. The Central Florida School of Massage Therapy, led by Director Michael McGillicuddy, also offers a bookstore and library on its 4,100-square-foot campus.
The Florida College of Natural Health has four locations in Florida including Orlando, Sarasota, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. The school, which has been in Florida for more than 20 years, offers degree and diploma programs in massage therapy, skin care and electrology in addition to associate of science degree programs. The Cortiva Institute in Tampa, previously Humanities Center Institute of Allied Health School of Massage, offers holistic and hands-on instruction. The 750-hour massage therapy program uses a combination of anatomy and physiology, classroom instruction and clinical work. The school's Career Services department provides resources and strategies for current students and alumni in addition to outside employers.
