Located in Tallahassee, Florida State University's music school offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in such fields as general music, composition, music theory and even music performance for students who want to play instruments such as guitar, piano and woodwinds. In addition to holding regular music concerts, FSU's music school also houses three music research centers: the Center for Music Research, the Center for Music of the Americas and the National Institute for Infant and Child Medical Music Therapy.

Orlando's University of Central Florida Music School boasts such areas of study as composition, performance, education and jazz studies along with the opportunity to join music ensembles like chorus, orchestra, concert band, marching band and even chamber groups.
