Accredited Equine Massage Schools

Accredited equine schools meet the high standards of an accrediting agency. It means their programs are up to date so you'll receive the best education.   1. Animal Sciences

    • Galen Equestrian Academy is accredited by the United States Equestrian Professionals. The school teaches equine massage therapy and equine laser therapy. Take the programs online and attend weekend clinic lectures and hands-on labs. Work at the online courses at your own pace and become nationally certified when courses are completed. Skills learned are bass massage therapy, trigger point therapy, muscle tendon stress point therapy, scar tissue repair, deep tissue therapy and myo-facial release joint therapy.     Sports Therapy

    • Equissage is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northern Virginia and is approved by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork as a continuing education provider. Equissage offers a program where you can study one on one with founder of Equissage, Mary Schreiber. Choose from the equine sports massage therapy program on-site certification or equine sports therapy home study. The home study program has recently received the R. Monroe Award, which is only given to home-study programs with high standards. Courses include massage techniques, massage strokes, the basic physiology of muscles and the location of muscles and muscle groups.

    Massage and Acupressure

    • The Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage in Carbondale, Colorado, is approved and regulated by the Colorado Department of Continuing Education and Division of Private Occupational Schools. Instructors are licensed and credentialed by the state of Colorado. Courses offered include animal massage, acupressure, animal communication and more. This school has quality educational programs and maintains the highest standards of practice in the industry. The International Association of Animal Massage & Body approved the Rocky Mountain School as one of their first preferred educational providers.

    Therapeutic Massage

    • Equinology in Gualala, California is accredited by the International Equine Body Work Association and approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Instructors are veterinarians and specialists recognized around the work and are up to date with information in the equine health industry. Certifications are offered in Equinology® Equine Body Worker and Equinology® Equine Body Worker 11. This school offers more courses than most equine massage schools. The courses are approved by the International Equine Body Worker Association.
