Yakima Valley Body Therapy Institute is a private institution that's located in the town of Yakima. The school offers both day and evening classes, and students learn a variety of techniques, including Swedish massage, hydrotherapy and kinesiology. Students also take a trip to the cadaver lab at Central Washington University to learn about anatomy. To successfully complete the program, students must participate in 150 hours of hands-on practice at the school. Only 12 students are admitted to the school at a time.

Tri-City School Of Massage, located in the city of Kennewick, was founded in 1968. In addition to having state accreditation, the school is also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association's Council of Schools. The school admits 20 students per year into its 570 hour classroom-based program. In addition to in-class training, the school also arranges for students to receive 75 to 80 hours of hands-on practice in nearby massage clinics. The school offers day and evening classes and covers western massage techniques, like trigger point massage, as well as eastern modes, like Shiatsu.

With an enrollment of more than 10,000 students, Spokane Community College is a state supported two-year college. The school grants both an associate degree and a professional certificate in massage therapy. In addition to massage techniques, students in the associate program study sociology, chemistry, psychology, biology, business and English. Students also complete two practical rotations at the school's practice massage clinic. State and federal financial aid is available to qualified students. The school also provides tutoring and free health services for all students.

Everest College is a private two-year institution with locations throughout the United States. Everest has branches throughout Washington that offer massage therapy programs that are accredited by the Washington Board of Massage. The schools offer three massage program options: a general course, a course for spa massage and one for sports massage. The spa program includes practice with aromatherapy, mud and seaweed treatments, while the sports massage program teaches deep tissue and kinesiology techniques. The school participates in financial aid programs and also offers career placement assistance.
