University of Washington

• The University of Washington (UW) School of Medicine has been ranked as the best primary care medical school in America for 16 consecutive years by the U.S. News & World Report. The UW School of Medicine participates in the five-state WWAMI coalition, serving medical education and practices in Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. Annually, the UW Medical Center and Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, the core hospitals for the UW School of Medicine program, provide outpatient and emergency room services to 1.4 million individuals. Members of the UW School of Medicine faculty have been internationally recognized for research and other contributions to the Human Genome Project.

Pima Medical Institute

• The Pima Medical Institute operates 11 medical schools in America, two of which are located in the state of Washington. Pima Medical Institutes offers Associates degree programs in respiratory therapy, nursing and radiography, as well as certification programs for dentistry, phlebotomy and veterinary science. The Pima Medical Institute also offers online degree programs for long-distance learners.

Everest College

• Everest College operates six different campuses across the state of Washington, offering certification and degree programs for such medical professions as massage therapy, dental assistant, pharmacy technician and general medical assistant. Everest College places a high premium on real world experience, and most of its faculty has had years of professional experience in their fields. Each different campus in the Everest College system has a working rapport with local employers, many of which employ a number of recent graduates.

PNWU

• The Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences was established in 2008 to address a dearth of medical services across the Pacific Northwest region. PNWU is accredited to accommodate 75 students in each graduating class, and has been receiving at least 20 applicants for every available student opening. PNWU maintains a commitment to local applicants, as 80 percent of its students are from the five-state region comprising the Pacific Northwest.
