Located on the Georgia campus of Mercer University, the James and Carolyn McAfee School of Theology is an ATS- accredited school affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. The school offers students, who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another area of study, master's and doctoral degree options in theology. Students seeking a master's degree have a large selection of concentrations available to them, including General Divinity, Christian Education, Christian Social Ethics, Church Music, Global Christianity and Pastoral Care.

Located in Durham, North Carolina, the Duke University Divinity School is an ATS-accredited institution affiliated with the Methodist Church. Founded in 1926, the school provides many opportunities for those seeking post-graduate degrees in theological studies and ministry. Students will choose programs which will result in degrees including a Master of Divinity, a Master of Arts in Christian Practice, a Master of Theological Studies, a Master of Arts in Christian Studies, a Master of Theology, a Doctor of Ministry and a Doctor of Theology. Students also have the option of seeking dual degrees which combine Divinity and Social Work or Theological Studies and Law.
Located on the Wake Forest campus in North Carolina, this inter-denominational theology school is ATS accredited. This is a younger school, founded in 1999. The purpose of the school is to offer a variety of post-graduate degree options for students wishing to further their education in theological studies or wishing to work in ministry. The school offers only one degree option, a Master of Divinity. However, students may choose to combine the degree in a dual option that includes either law or social work.
