    • Tricoci University of Beauty Culture is a cosmetology school with campuses in the Chicago Metro area, Chicago North West, Bridgeview, Glendale Heights, Libertyville, Peoria and Rockford. The programs of study include a 10 month, full-time cosmetology program; a five-month, full-time esthetics program; a four-month, part-time nail-technology program and a 6- to 10-month, part-time teacher-training program. Admissions depends on age (at least 16 for several programs) and education (at least a GED). The teacher-training program requires that you are 18 years old.

    Cosmetology and Spa Institute

    • Cosmetology and Spa Institute has a campus in Crystal Lake, IL, and a second campus opening up in Schaumburg. The programs include cosmetology and esthetics training. The cosmetology program has a 1,500 hour curriculum that can take 10 months full time or 17 months part time. The cosmetology instructor program requires 500 hours of training if you have two years of work experience and 1,000 hours of training if you have less than two years of work experience.
