Bob Jones University in South Carolina offers an associate in applied science degree in cosmetology. The school’s comprehensive program requires students to have a minimum of 1,500 hours of credits to be eligible for the South Carolina cosmetologist examination. The curriculum blends classroom instruction, laboratory work and two separate cosmetology internships. The on-the-job training adds more hours on top of the minimum state requirements in order to fulfill eligibility in other states. The university has it’s own job network, Career Central, which assists graduates in finding work in Christian organizations.

The application fee is $75 and a high school diploma or GED is required for admission.
