Liberty University is an evangelical Christian University founded by Rev. Jerry Falwell in Lynchburg, Virginia. Liberty's School of Law bills itself as a distinctively Christian school committed to professional excellence, according to the school's website. The ABA has provisionally accredited the law school. Graduates of provisionally accredited law schools are granted the same rights and recognition as graduates of fully approved law schools. Because the school is provisionally accredited, "US News & World Report" does not rank it.
