Find an APA title page generator online. This will be the hardest part of your task. Using a search engine, type in words such as "APA," "term paper," "title page" and "generator" or "maker" or creator. Your search will return APA style generators for a variety of APA essay elements. Choose one that claims to generate title pages for APA essays. You'll find one of these in this article's Resources section.
Start with a proper title for your essay. Name your essay something that pertains to the subject precisely. For example, if your paper is about Abraham Lincoln and Slavery, you may want to name the essay "Abraham Lincoln and Slave Liberation." While you might have an opportunity to create a title with a play on words, depending on your subject matter, consider staying with a conservative title. Some APA title page generators ask you to fill in a short title, too. Leave that field blank if you want.
Add your name in the next field. Start with your full first name, then place a space, then your middle initial, and finally your last name. For example, John F. Smith.
The third or fourth input box in the free APA title page maker (depending on whether the generator called for one title or a long title and a short one) should ask you for your teacher's name. Make sure you include your professor's name with proper capitalization and spelling. For example, Dr. Alan Smith. If you prefer, you can click on "File" from the top of the page and click "Save," then "Update Teacher's Name" to make this the default option every time you use your APA title page maker program.
Add the date the paper is due or completed to the next field in the title page generator. The program may do this for you,but if it doesn't -- or if it is a date you don't want to use -- just select "Edit" from the "File" menu and select "Insert Date."
Save the file if your content generator allows it; and print if desired.
