How to Label an APA Document

Writers working in the social and natural sciences use American Psychological Association (APA) style to cite primary and secondary sources when they publish scholarly articles and books. Undergraduate writers also frequently employ APA style in research and argumentative essays. The APA dictates that writers who use its citation guidelines should also observe certain rules related to the formatting and presentation of documents.
