    Georgia Perimeter College

    • The dental hygiene program at Georgia Perimeter College teaches students how to clean and polish teeth, take and process dental radiographs, and provide preventative services to patients. The American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation accredits the dental hygiene curriculum at Georgia Perimeter College.     • Located just over 10 miles from Atlanta, Medix College is a two-year college that offers associate's degree and certificate programs. The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools accredits the various career and academic programs. The dental assistant program teaches students various dental laboratory techniques and office tasks. Students learn to sterilize equipment, keep records and schedule appointments, as well as examination procedures. Many dental assistants are also qualified to perform radiographs to determine various dental ailments.
