Kaplan College's nurse aide program prepares students both academically and clinically to serve as professional nurse assistants in the work force. Students that successfully complete the course are eligible to take the certification exam. To be considered for acceptance, students must have a high school diploma or GED. Financial assistance is offered to qualifying students.

Palo Alto College offers a medley of college classes, from standard credit programs to continuing education programs, such as the certified nurse assistant course. This program is 108 hours total and, upon completion, enables students to sit for the nurse assistant exam to become certified. Students will learn safety procedures, how to care for patients and patients' rights, among other things. To apply, you must be at least 18 years old and have no contagious diseases. You must also be able to speak, read and write English, and must apply for a background check. Financial aid is available to students who qualify and are already accepted into the program.

The Academy of Nurses Assistant offers a variety of medical programs, from medical assisting to pharmacy technician classes. The nurse assistant program educates and trains students to become certified nurse assistants. Upon competition of the program, students sit for the certified nurse assistant exam, which tests their knowledge of entry-level patient care. To be eligible for the nurse assistant program, you need a State I.D., a Social Security Number, and proof of at least an eighth grade education. Classes are only offered during the day, new classes start monthly, and financial assistance is available.
