In 2010, "U.S. News & World Report" ranked the University of Dayton 110th among all universities in the United States. The Roman Catholic Church founded the college in 1850, and it is now home to more than 7,700 undergraduate students.
The school's accounting, finance, economics, international business, management and engineering programs are among its largest and highest-rated academically, reports the 2009 "Barron's Profiles of American Colleges." Paid cooperative work programs are available in 24 of the university's majors.
The school sponsors 17 intercollegiate sports teams, and there are more than 20 Greek and 190 other student organizations on campus.

Established in 1887, Sinclair Community College is a two-year public institution. The school's Dayton campus serves as the headquarters for the college and has an enrollment of more than 24,000 students.
Among the associate degree and certificate programs are acting, artificial intelligence, aviation, culinary arts, corrections, interior design, fire science, geology, manufacturing and nursing.

Miami-Jacobs Career College is a private, two-year institution with five branches in Ohio. The Dayton location has approximately 850 students working toward associate degrees in fields like accounting, criminal justice, computer support, management and marketing, medical assisting, billing and coding, paralegal studies, respiratory therapy, sales and security and investigation.
