    • The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) is one of 17 member institutions which make up the University of North Carolina System. The school was ranked in 2009 by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 10 "up and coming" universities in the United States. One of the state's largest public research universities, UNC Charlotte offers numerous undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate degree programs in the following departmental areas: fine arts, architecture, business, computing and informatics, education, engineering, health and human services and liberal arts and sciences (which contains 26 different majors). Through the University of North Carolina Online system, students can pursue select online degrees at UNC Charlotte from the comfort of their homes.

    Johnson C. Smith University

    • Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) is a private, liberal arts university accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. An urban school located in downtown Charlotte, the university is one of North Carolina's oldest, having been formed in 1867. The school offers dozens of four-year degree programs, including those in the following areas of study: English, history, political science, psychology, elementary education, social work, biology, chemistry, mathematics, computer engineering, computer science, information systems engineering and business administration. JCSU's urban campus boasts 10 residence halls which provide dynamic, community-oriented activities and opportunities; over 75 percent of JCSU students live on campus in Charlotte.     ECPI College of Technology

    • ECPI College of Technology is a for-profit technical college accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges. Students at the Charlotte campus can pursue associate-level degrees in the following disciplines: criminal justice, network security, electronics engineering, database programing and medical imaging technology. In addition, the school offers bachelor's degree programs in criminal justice, electronics engineering, network security and medical imaging technology. ECPI College of Technology also offers a dynamic range of online degree programs available to students in North Carolina, including programs in the following disciplines: accounting, business administration, healthcare administration and information technology management.
