Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) is a private, liberal arts university accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. An urban school located in downtown Charlotte, the university is one of North Carolina's oldest, having been formed in 1867. ECPI College of Technology is a for-profit technical college accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges. Students at the Charlotte campus can pursue associate-level degrees in the following disciplines: criminal justice, network security, electronics engineering, database programing and medical imaging technology. In addition, the school offers bachelor's degree programs in criminal justice, electronics engineering, network security and medical imaging technology. ECPI College of Technology also offers a dynamic range of online degree programs available to students in North Carolina, including programs in the following disciplines: accounting, business administration, healthcare administration and information technology management.
