Eastern North Carolina Colleges

  1. Eastern Carolina University

    • East Carolina University awards baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degrees as well as certificates of advanced study in library science and school psychology. The main campus in Greenville, N.C., features 530 acres of classrooms, residences and research facilities including three libraries. The campus also includes a First Year Center that facilitates freshmen students' transition to life at the university. Extracurricular activities at the university include community service organizations, leadership development groups, and more than 20 men's and women's athletic teams.

    Campbell University

    • Founded as a community school in 1887, Campbell became an accredited four year college in 1961 and a university in 1979. The diverse student body of 2,500 undergraduate and 1,400 graduate students come from all 50 United States and more than 40 nations. The university offers majors in the arts, sciences, education, business and health as well as a divinity school rooted in the Christian tradition. Student athletic opportunities include varsity basketball, golf and tennis as well as club sports.

    University of North Carolina Wilmington

    • The University of North Carolina Wilmington combines small college classroom learning with the scholarship opportunities of a research university. About 13,000 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students make up the school's diverse student body. The university offers 52 undergraduate majors, 35 graduate degree programs, a Ph.D. in marine biology and an Ed.D. in educational leadership. Student athletes can participate in varsity and club sports teams and take courses in the university's athletic training program.

    Park University Cherry Point

    • Park University's Cherry Point campus is part of the university's school for extended learning. Located near the Marine Corps Air Station, just off the east coast of North Carolina, the Cherry Point campus offers courses and degree programs for active duty members of the military. Dependents of active duty members, retirees and eligible base employees may also enroll in courses and programs at the university. Accelerated semesters allow students to complete degrees more quickly, while online class options offer increased flexibility for non-traditional students.
