The Charlotte Center for Ministerial Training, a branch of Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, prepares adult students to enter church vocations. Affiliated with the Church of God denomination, the center offers a Bachelor of Christian Ministry with a concentration in Bible, Christian education, counseling, pastoral ministry or theology. The Center offers many courses in the evenings to accommodate the work schedules of adult learners.

Montreat College, based in the Montreat, North Carolina, operates a satellite campus in Charlotte through its School of Professional and Adult Studies. With the goal of “integrating faith and learning,” the program is designed around evening classes to help working adults obtain degrees ranging from the Associate in Science in Business to the Bachelor or Master of Business Administration. Montreat also offers a Master of Arts in Education with certification in K-6.

Reformed Theological Seminary offers graduate degrees to prepare pastors, counselors, missionaries and educators according to the traditions of the Reformed faith. While not affiliated with any denomination, Presbyterian churches, the Reformed Baptist denomination and many independent evangelical churches embrace the seminary’s "distinctives," or distinguishing characteristics. In addition to masters and doctoral studies, the seminary offers a one-year certificate in Bible, Theology or Missions to prepare those planning to fill non-pastoral positions.
