California State University, located in Los Angeles, has the highest ranking dietician program, according to a 2010 study by College Crunch. Established in 1961, this university has approximately 500,000 students on 23 campuses. The dietician program, part of the College of Health and Human Services, features a number of world-renowned faculty members and offers students two options for a bachelor of science degree. The program requires students to take 180 credits, 127 of which must be focused in the dietician program. Students may enroll in courses on human anatomy, physiology, cultural cuisine, human nutrition and chemistry.

Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana, offers the second highest ranking dietician program, according to a 2010 finding by College Crunch. This university, established in 1869, offers the College of Consumer and Family Sciences, a series of programs based on dietician and nutrition needs. Students may specialize in the dietetics didactic program, which involves only traditional classes, as well as speciality programs that include internships and coursework. Students take courses in diet planning, nutrition, human development, human design and macronutrient metabolism.

This university, established in 1839, features 50,000 students and nearly 3,000 faculty programs. The University of Texas at Austin also offers students the opportunity to pursue two dietician bachelor's degrees. The dietetics coursework allows students to meet curriculum requirements set forth by CADE, while the coordinated dietetics program provides students with internship and work opportunities. A nutritional science concentration is also available.
