The cosmetology department at the Chattanooga campus of Miller-Motte College runs in conjunction with the Miller-Motte Spa and Salon, which is open to the public. Under the supervision of instructors, students perform all spa and salon services, including massage, aromatherapy sessions, couples massage, hot stone application, foot baths, body masques, ear candling, manicures, shampoos, hair styling, hair coloring, eyelash applications, body wraps, hair removal and a variety of facials. The spa provides a relaxing environment for clients with affordable services while also serving as an educational setting for students. To maximize the experience for students, the school encourages clients to share feedback by using an online survey form. The school also offers continuing education courses in subjects such as Tennessee massage law and ethics. The Tennessee Higher Education Commission authorizes this Miller-Motte facility.
