Distance Learning Physician Assistant Programs

Distance learning physician assistant programs are a practical way to earn your degree while continuing to work. Physician assistants are high-level health-care workers who are usually supervised by doctors, but they can also be the primary health-care providers in rural or city clinics. As a physician assistant, you perform such tasks as examining, diagnosing, and treating patients, interpreting laboratory tests and x-rays, and prescribing certain medications. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for physician assistants is expected to increase by 39 percent through 2018.
