    Midstate College

    • Midstate College is a public two-year vocational college in the central Illinois city of Peoria. Established in 1888, today the college features two undergraduate programs in judicial reporting. Midstate’s Associate of Applied Science in Judicial Reporting includes several machine shorthand courses, as well as general education coursework in composition and anatomy. Graduates are proficient in both medical and legal terminology. Alternatively, the college features a more comprehensive Bachelor of Science in Realtime Reporting program, which features concentration options in broadcast captioning, CART reporting and judicial reporting. Both the associate degree and baccalaureate level students are required to complete internships.

    • Business Informatics Center is a two-year proprietary business college in the Long Island, New York community of Valley Stream. Students matriculated at the college can select from two Associate of Occupational Studies programs, including one in court reporting. The program’s curriculum prepares graduates for careers in court reporting, as freelance reporters and in realtime captioning.
