The Department of Music at Morehouse College is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. It offers an undergraduate program in music in which students can concentrate their studies in performance, choral conduction and literature, or composition. According to the Morehouse College website, students are required to complete a 48-hour core program in addition to six to 18 hours in their concentration. Students must also participate in one of the school’s performing ensembles every semester, such as Glee club, the marching band or wind ensemble.

The School of Music at Georgia State University offers a variety of degree programs. The school features Bachelor of Music degrees in composition, jazz studies, performance, music education and music recording technology. It also offers a Bachelor of Science degree in music management. In addition, students can earn a Master of Music degree in choral conducting, composition, instrumental conducting, jazz studies, music education, performance or piano pedagogy. The school’s facility features more than one performance and rehearsal hall for students. Students also have the opportunity to join on-campus music organizations like the brass ensemble, university symphony orchestra and the men’s and women’s chorus.

The Department of Music at Emory University offers an undergraduate and graduate degree program in music. Classes available in the undergraduate program include: opera as drama, music and anthropology, film music, music beyond orientalism and music theory. Undergraduate students also have the opportunity to participate in one of the school’s music ensembles. The graduate program is a two-year course of study and focuses on more in-depth courses in music. According to the school’s website, the music facility at Emory University is home to an 800-seat concert hall, a rehearsal hall, chamber music rooms, practice rooms, classrooms and student lounges.
