Paramedical Esthetician Schools

Paramedical estheticians provide a broad array of services in a number of professional settings. Some individuals in the field work in spas and salons providing cosmetic procedures. Others may elect to work with dermatologists and plastic surgeons preparing clients' skin for surgery or assisting in the post-operative recovery. Many programs cater to graduates of a cosmetology or esthetics program, while others require no previous related education.
  1. College of International Esthetics

    • The College of International Esthetics offers a variety of courses in paramedical esthetics. Each course may be taken individually to allow students to cater their learning to their particular interests. Course offerings include chemical peels, microdermabrasion, permanent makeup, cosmetic laser training and injection training. The courses range in length from two to 17 days. Individuals in each course will practice these newly learned techniques on clients and volunteers in a clinical setting. Students will learn the risks involved in some procedures as well as the importance of the consultation visit with clients. The prerequisite for admission is generally an esthetician or cosmetologist license. Upon completion of each course, graduates receive certification in the paramedical esthetic specialty.
