Central Piedmont Community College

• Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Central Piedmont Community College cardiovascular training program has received national accreditation recognition through the Council on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs for both the invasive and noninvasive cardiology concentrations. The program is selective, with just 16 students chosen for admission each year. The first year of this two-year study is centered on general allied health studies with the second year featuring the program minor and clinical component.

Harrisburg Area Community College

• The invasive cardiovascular technology program at Harrisburg Area Community College is comprised of 71 credits and involves six semesters of study leading to an Associate in Science degree. The college’s Cardiovascular Technology program includes many clinical affiliates with lab classes, field trips and clinical rotations at facilities up to a 90 minute drive from the Lancaster campus. Program graduates are eligible to sit for the Cardiovascular Credentializing Institute exam.

Orange Coast College

• Located in Costa Mesa, California, the Orange Coast College Cardiovascular Technology major is a four-semester program leading to an Associate in Science degree. The program is comprised of three areas of diagnostic evaluation: invasive cardiovascular technology, non-invasive cardiovascular technology and non-invasive peripheral vascular technology. Program grads can pursue opportunities as treadmill technologists, non-invasive cardiac and vascular sonographers, and related positions.

St. Cloud Technical and Community College

• The St. Cloud Technical and Community College cardiovascular program is open to registered students who take course prerequisites and maintain good academic standing. Only twelve students are accepted into the program each year; classes begin in the fall semester and run for four consecutive semesters. In addition to classroom study, clinical work in Minnesota or neighboring states is arranged.
