An associate's degree program in mechanical technology is available at Monroe Community College. The program focuses on areas involving drafting and design and understanding the basic components of a machine. The mechanical technology program can be completed in four semesters and is housed in the Engineering Technologies Department. Students need to complete between 66 and 67 credits. The curriculum includes courses in manufacturing processes, measurement and analysis, computer-aided drafting, basic electricity and electronics, technical writing, strength materials and machine design theory.

Delaware County Community College offers an associate in applied science in Mechanical Technology. This is 65-credit program that teaches students to use engineering designs to create and maintain technical systems and devices. The curriculum combines general education requirements with core mechanical technology courses. The four-semester program includes core courses in machining technology, robotics and programmable controllers, kinematics, technical mechanics, fluid power and controls and two-dimensional CADD.
