    McNally Smith College of Music

    • McNally Smith College of Music features multiple degree programs for future music producers. Students can complete one-year recording engineer diplomas and two-year degrees in recording technology to hit the job market quickly.     • Pyramind Production is a San Francisco-based studio that also offers a music production program. Students start with core courses in music business and audio fundamentals in the first year. Advanced courses in synthesis and Final Cut Pro lead to a diploma in music production. Pyramind Production also works with students interested in manufacturer certifications for programs like Logic, Ableton and DVD Studio. The facility features two Pyralab studio classrooms, the Icon Mix Suite and a recording studio called The Vault. Exceptional students can defray their tuition costs by applying for the studio's Beat University Scholarship.

    Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences

    • The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Science runs a 42-week program culminating in a diploma of recording engineering. This program mixes courses on signal distribution and critical listening with 12 weeks of industry internships. Students find plenty of recording space with eight studios split between the Gilbert and Tempe campuses. Young producers work with musicians and singers at the 6,000-square foot Live Sound Venue in Gilbert. The Student Financial Services Department assists students searching for grants, scholarships and loans to pay for tuition.
