Located in Winter Park, Fla., Full Sail University was ranked one of the five "Best Music Programs" in the nation by Rolling Stone Magazine. The school has more than 110 studio and production environments, and has produced graduates who have worked with music stars like Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and Sheryl Crow. Full Sail offers an associate degree program in recording engineering and a bachelor's degree in recording arts, both with a focus on music production. The University of Central Oklahoma's (UCO) Academy of Contemporary Music is partnered with the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in London, England. The school offers an Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) degree in music production, which is taught by professional musicians, music business professionals and production experts. The program provides a background in composition, music culture, industry studies and techniques such as studio, digital and audio production. Students will experience professional recording and presentation development along with music-based projects. There are three facilities, including the Music IT Suite, Solid State Logic Teaching Studio and the Roland V-Drum Room.

Located in Hollywood, Calif., the Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Music (MI) provides three live performance facilities and 13 recording facilities. The school is partnered with The Grammy Museum, Fender Guitars and Schecter Guitars. It employs faculty members who are professionals in the field, having worked with artists like Busta Rhymes, Jamie Foxx and Macy Gray. The Musicians Institute offers an Associate of Arts degree concentrating on audio engineering, recording artist development or music business. The audio engineering concentration focuses on professional studio recording production. The music business concentration provides career preparation for the recording industry, while the recording artist development concentration focuses on music production and songwriting for independent artists. The Bachelor of Music degree in Performance is offered with a minor in audio production.
