The College of Technology is the career training and technical unit of Montana Tech of the University of Montana. The college offers associate programs for automotive technicians, construction, historic preservation, civil engineering, metals fabrication, computer technology, accounting, radiologic technology, medical assisting and surgical technology. Students at the College of Technology have the ability to participate in the six intercollegiate sports teams for men and women at Montana Tech or any of the 33 student groups held at the university.

The Montana State University–Great Falls College of Technology is a two-year school on a 20-acre campus in Great Falls. There is also a secondary location in Bozeman. The school offers many of the same programs as the College of Technology at Montana Tech, but also offers associate degrees in aviation, dental assisting and hygiene, emergency medical technology, graphic design, healthcare coding, interior design, medical transcription, practical nursing, respiratory therapy and welding. The school has its own honor's society and student government.

Blackfeet Community College is in Browning at the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. The Blackfeet Tribal Council opened the school in 1974 to educate residents of the reservation as well as residents of surrounding communities. The school grants associate degrees in management, education, human resources, environmental science, forestry, pre-nursing, hospitality management, construction, office administration, natural resource management. Certificate programs include heavy machinery, gerontology and coaching. The school has its own student government and chess and rodeo club. Intramural athletics are also offered.

Founded by the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Indian Tribes, Fort Peck Community College awarded its first degrees in 1987, according to the school's website. The school has an average enrollment of around 430 students with 75 percent of its students living on the Fort Peck Reservation. Catering to working students, Fort Peck Community Colleges offers morning, afternoon and evening classes. The school's associate programs include American Indian studies, psychology, biomedical science, automotive repair and hazardous waste management. Certificates are also available in fields like truck driving and computer programming.
