The Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (WITC) system is located in the forested northwest corner of the state and has campuses in Superior, Ashland, New Richmond and Rice Lake. They also offer limited courses in Hayward, Ladysmith and Spooner. WITC offers over 50 programs in fields like business, criminal justice, industry and technology. Some programs can be completed entirely online, so you can reach your career goals on your own schedule, and nearly all their programs are eligible for some financial aide. In 2010, they added an Energy Efficiency Technician program at their Superior campus to train students for green careers.

Nestled in the agricultural center of the state, Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) has campuses in Marshfield, Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids and also offers some classes in Adams. MSTC boasts that 94 percent of their graduates are employed within six months of graduation, and the school offers to retrain students who cannot find work in their chosen field. MSTC has an annual enrollment of over 11,000 students. There is a major hospital located in Marshfield, and MSTC offers many health-related programs. They also offer programs in agriculture, business, renewable energy and other fields.

Based around the largest city in Wisconsin, Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) has campus locations in Milwaukee, Mequon, West Allis and Oak Creek. MATC has 200 programs in a wide variety of fields, making it one of the Midwest's largest community or technical college systems. At MATC, you can complete an associate degree, earn a career-specific certificate, finish your high school education or take liberal arts courses that may later be transferred to a four-year college. MATC considers itself an "open enrollment" college, and as such will accept any student who applies.
