Surgical Tech Schools in Chicagoland

The Illinois Department of Employment Security predicts that the demand for surgical technologists in the Chicagoland area will increase by more than 32 percent from 2006 through 2016. A number of schools in the metropolitan area offer post-secondary programs in the field. Carrying the approval of the Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, these schools also qualify graduates for voluntary certification in the field through the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist.
