Schools for an Echo Tech

Echo techs, more formally known as cardiovascular technologists, diagnose and treat people with ailments of the heart and blood vessels. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (May 2008) echo techs earned a median annual salary of $47,010. While state license boards don't require licensure, voluntary credentialing from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) increases a candidate's employability. These programs are accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Cardiovascular Technology (JRCCVT).
