The University of Saint Francis offers a transition option for registered nurses with a diploma or associate degree in nursing within their master of science in nursing program. Students complete a “transition sequence” consisting of coursework in pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, pathophysiology, English composition and psychology. This is followed by coursework in English, statistics, professional nursing communication and professional nursing concepts. Courses are delivered in a hybrid format that combines both on-campus lectures and web-based learning. Clinical training is also required at off-campus locations.
