The University of Pennsylvania's Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program offers part-time or full-time studies in pursuit of its master's level curriculum. The program falls under the Pediatric Master's offerings. The NNP Program trains its students to work with patients experiencing various types of conditions. Attention is paid to the family as a whole, as some babies may require continual care after going home. Upon graduation, NNP students may qualify for certification, from the State of Pennsylvania, as well as other states. Those wishing to gain admittance should submit, in addition to general fees and transcripts, GRE score, three reference letters, and essay responses. Students must currently hold a Registered Nurse license, and present a copy of the license when applying. The programs within the Penn Nursing division are offered year-round, with continuing admissions.
