  1. University of Michigan---Ann Arbor

    • The University of Michigan---Ann Arbor is a public research university located in the southeastern Michigan metropolis of Ann Arbor. Founded in Detroit in 1817, the university has since moved its flagship campus to Ann Arbor. Today, the university features more than two dozen schools and colleges, including the "U.S. News & World Report" top ranked School of Nursing. The school has a diverse catalog of academic programs ranging from undergraduate to doctorate levels, including three undergraduate programs, more than 20 master's program and a Ph.D. program, as well as post-doctoral fellowship opportunities. Through collaboration with the nearby University of Michigan Medical Center, Michigan nursing students have a bevy of opportunities for practical experience in the field.     University of North Carolina---Chapel Hill

    • Located in the central North Carolina college town of Chapel Hill, the University of North Carolina---Chapel Hill is a public university that hosts one of the top nursing schools, according to rankings by the publication "U.S. News & World Report." The university's School of Nursing was established in 1950 and today features several nursing academic programs, ranging from undergraduate baccalaureate level degree studies to post-doctoral fellowship opportunities. Additionally, the school is recognized as one of the first in North Carolina to offer a four-year nursing baccalaureate program, as well as the first to offer a nursing master's degree program. "U.S. News & World Report" ranks Chapel Hill's graduate respective nursing programs in Family Practice, Nursing Service Administration, Pediatrics and Psychiatric/Mental Health among the best in the country. Chapel Hill's School of Nursing also houses Biobehavioral Laboratory for research and the school is a top recipient of research grants and funding as well.

Established in 1949, the teaching, research and clinical practice opportunities make UCLA's School of Nursing a competitive institution. With undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs, the school features academic programs at all levels. All students matriculated into UCLA's School of Nursing have clinical practice experience opportunities through the school's relationship with the UCLA Medical Center and its affiliates. Additionally, nursing students can engage in research through any of the school's active research centers, which include the Center for American Indian & Indigenous Research & Education and the Center for Vulnerable Populations Research, among others.
