EMT Courses in Massachusetts

Emergency medical technicians, also referred to as EMTs, work to provide immediate medical care to injured or ill individuals before they are transported to a hospital or healthcare facility. EMTs must gain formal education and certification in all 50 states, including Massachusetts. Community colleges in Massachusetts offer EMT courses at the basic, intermediate and paramedic levels.

    • Located in the large suburban town of Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts Bay Community College is a 2-year, public school with an undergraduate student population topping 5,000 individuals. The college offers an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate program within its Division of Health Sciences.     Quinsigamond Community College

    • Quinsigamond Community College is located in the mid-size Massachusetts town of Worcester. The public school offers both an EMT-Intermediate and an EMT-Paramedic program for aspiring emergency medical technicians. The programs are designed for students who have already completed EMT-Basic training.
