    Northampton Community College

    • Northampton Community College is a two-year community college located north of Philadelphia in Bethlehem. NCC offers a fully accredited LPN program that takes approximately one year to complete. The program requires students to complete 27 credits of nursing classes and 16 general education courses. Nursing classes include introduction to nursing, maternal nursing for the practical nurse, developmental psychology, and geriatric nursing for the practical nurse. Graduates of this certificate program will be able to sit for the Practical Nurse Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) to become licensed.     • The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology is located just outside of Philadelphia in Media. PIT offers an LPN program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Graduates of this program will have the necessary knowledge and skill to pass state licensing exams to become a fully licensed practical nurse. Areas covered in this program include maternity, pediatrics, long- term care and acute care.
