Colleges in Michigan That Have Medical Diagnosic Sonography Courses

Diagnostic medical sonography, also called ultrasound, refers to the use of high frequency sound waves to produce visual images and data used by doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of health conditions. According to the Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), as of 2010, there are seven accredited colleges in Michigan that offer courses in diagnostic medical sonography. Graduates are well prepared to sit for one or more of the specialty certification examinations administered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
