Schools With Respiratory Therapist Studies

Respiratory therapists work in and for hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities and home healthcare providers, administering treatments for patients suffering from illnesses and diseases that affect the lungs. Entry into the field of respiratory therapy requires post-secondary education, and many employers prefer to hire therapists who have graduated from programs approved by the Commission Accreditation for Respiratory Care. A number of schools in the United States offer such programs, preparing students through classroom lectures and clinical work experience.
